October 2006



Make -A-Difference Day: Our Home food & clothing, Harbor House painted, cleaned alley

President Rehrmann attended Findley Aktion Club Installation

President Rehrmann proposed that each committee have a vice chair.

Matt Muhlenkamp and Karen Watts did not renew their memberships.

Installed two new members: Kathy Corell and Tom Ording

President Rehrmann presented Tom Watts with the presidents plaque for his leadership the past year.

The board of directors approved two new members Cheryl Frazier and Chris Carroll.

November 2006



Donated $150.00 to Kiwanis Internatonal Foundation.

President Rehrmann suggested establishing a Aktion Club visitation list.

Bob King Announce the 1st Aktion Club convention.

Amy Miller's membership was tranferred to Jason Romer.

Dick Dean resigned as club secretary. Diana Brackman volunteered to be Secretary, again.

Collected $3000.00 in donations from area businesses towards Reindog

The members devoted the remaining time at the meeting brainstorming ways to improve future Reindog Day events. Following are some of the suggestions:

1. Appoint Kiwanis Member judges for the Reindog activities

2. Retain the current schedule for future Reindog Day’s - Saturday after Thanksgiving

3. Establish and earlier date for donor canvassing

4 Make and post signs around town announcing the Reindog Day.

5.Extend the length of time for the Pancake Breakfast



6.Provide free Pancake Breakfast tickets to business donors

7.Set up the room to maximize the separate activities of Santa, the ticket takers and gift certificate drawing

8.Current Reindog Committee should meet and select next year’s committee members. Current Reindog project leader to stay on as an advisor to the new project leader.

Gave $50 to Equestrian Therapy clinic

Decided to order 20 Ballcaps at $11.95 Each. Celina Manor will pay for them and also 20 Visors.

Decided to donate $125.00 to Grand Lake Mariners

Chris Carroll volunteered to chair the membership committee

President Rehrmann has created a Blog on the Internet which contains our newsletter and other pertinent information.

Ray Cron succumbed to cancer.

Vice President Cheryl Niekamp volunteered to chair the One-Day event we will donate to Our Home.

The fee for our Lake Fest food stand was reduced from $325.00 to $100.00


March 2007

Added 3 new mebers: Lt. Governor Lanette Briley, J. T. Irmscher, and Deb Schmidt.

The Deans, Karen Cisco and Hans Rehrmann attended the Mid-Year-Education day in Columbus.

Awarded three $500.00 scholarships to higschool seniors.

Parked cars at rib-fest received only $100.00 vs the $100.00 to $200.00 promised. We won't do that again.

Dian Brackman resigned as club secretary. Mary Lehman volunteered to takew the job.

Interclub - The Deans, Hans, Mary Lehman, Lou Oberhommert, and Tim Wurster attended the Aktion club convention at Camp Glen.

May Pat Zitter resigned from the club.

The Deans informed me that they will not renew this Fall.

Tom Ording was transferred ourt of the area.

Tim Wurster volunteered to become Aktion club liaison.

WalMart donated $70.00 to Aktion Convention


September 2007

Wal-Mart will donate 2 bikes, McDonald has already donated 57 bicycle helmets,

these items will be raffled off at the Mercer County Healthy Kids Day on September 29th at the Coldwater High school. Seven members from our club assisted the Coldwater club.

Met with Celina City superintendent to discuss the establishment of K-Kids, Builders club, and Key clubs in the Celina School system.

Installed new officers for 2008.
